Jug's Hitching Post Saloon & Grill is conveniently located just 10 minutes west of West Bend, Wisconsin on Highway D in Kohlsville. Jug's Hitching Post offers excellent customer service for business meetings, birthday parties, bachelor or bachelorette parties, banquets, and wedding receptions.
The history of the Hitching Post goes way back to the late 1800's. In the 1900's there were puppet shows in the dance hall and a complete dinner for twenty-five cents. The dances started early in the evening and lasted till daybreak. People came in a wagon drawn by horses from West Bend. Every man escorted a lady to the supper at Midnight. As you can tell our pioneers had entertainment too, and life was not dull. In the 1960's they dug out the basement with shovels and picks by hand to put in a bar downstairs. They made the upstairs bar a minor bar and the downstairs bar for people of age. Today there are three Volleyball courts, eight TV's, Darts, Dance Hall to rent for private parties or business functions. |
